Someone was sharing with me today about the direction the Lord was leading them in their life. They began to express their 'concerns', and I use that term lightly - because it was more fear than concern, and I was reminded of Pro. 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths." We've been 'walking by faith' ever since we got filled with the Spirit, some 35 years now. And I suppose some would not understand what 'walking by faith' means, or possibly think it was a foolish way to live. However, Proverbs 3:5-6 is the epitome of faith! Trusting in the Lord with all our heart, means that we have no doubts, no fears, no concerns about how things are going to be. It's that place where we can be at peace in our mind and in our heart so much that we know that the Holy Spirit is leading and directing us along the way to a place that's safe.
There was one situation in our life, where we 'stepped out' in faith. We had an unction from the Lord to move 245 miles to go to Bible school. With a child and new baby, we sold our condo, had a garage sale and packed up the leftovers and moved in 30 days! No job, no extra money, only the leading of the Lord. (Don't do this unless the Lord says) We trusted the Lord with all our heart. He said go, we went, and He provided. The things we experienced, caused our faith to grow and our trust in God to strengthen.
Following the Lords direction is an important part of life. I encourage you today to listen to the Lords voice, and do not be afraid to heed His leading. When in His will, He will provide. Don't try to figure it out - just keep your focus on Him and He'll lead you all the way by His Spirit.
